Welcome to ENA11 - Creative Writing!

Dear Student,

you have chosen the course ENA11 - Creative Writing. Congratulations on an excellent choice! In this course you will write all kinds of different texts - in English, of course - and receive feedback on your writing. We will do most of the writing during class hours but feel free to write at home, at the library, on the bus - wherever you feel inspired to write! And most importantly, don't be afraid of making mistakes! All great writers have learned from their mistakes and no-one was born perfect.

During the course this blog will be your starting point. Here you can find instructions for all the assignments. So if you get ill or miss a class, check this blog and you won't be left behind. I (that is me, Hilla, the teacher) will be checking on your blog regularly, so read my comments! If it looks like your blog is empty, I will send you reminders. In short: write often!

Okay, it's time to get started:

Step 1:

Create your own blog. Your blog will be like your portfolio, where you keep all your texts. The texts can easily be found in one place and you can also keep updating and improving them as the course progresses.

Creating and writing a blog is simple. If you've never blogged before, it's maybe best to use a blogging site such as Blogger. You can also use other blogging sites. However, make sure that your blog has no password, your texts are not meant to be for you only :)

Use your imagination when giving your blog a name and designing the appearance. Throughout the course, feel free to also use pictures.

Once you have created your blog - give the address to the teacher.

Step 2:

Let's start blogging! Now you can write your first post (=Assignment 1). Remember to read the general instructions on the sidebar.
